This is an open competition for short stories, flash fiction and poems on any subject matter. We also have a micro-fiction entry, open to those from, living or working in Co. Kildare. 

The competition is open to people of 16 years and over. See poster for more information.

All entry fees will go towards Kidney Cancer Research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute where Michael was treated.

Closing Date is 12.00 midnight (GMT) on Thursday 14th July 2022.

This competition is also open to international entrants, last year we had entrants from the USA to Australia.

*A longlist of the top 20 submissions in each competition will be listed here in August 2022.

The top 6 shortlisted in each competition will be listed here in September 2022.

*Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded at a special event (actual or online) in Kildare Town Library as part of the 2022 Kildare Readers Festival Programme. 

*The winning entries in each competition will be published on the Michael Mullan Charity Fund website and also on the Kildare Library and Arts Service website.
